General enquiries
For any general enquiries, or to share your experience with us, please email contact@igac.gov.au.
We are genuinely interested in hearing about your lived experience with the aged care system, but there are some things we cannot do.
What we can’t do:
We do not have the power to:
- investigate or resolve individual complaints
- intervene in individual cases
- take action against specific providers or services.
If you need help now, these organisations may be able to assist:
- For complaints about the quality or safety of care (including a complaint about a provider or worker): contact the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission or call 1800 951 822.
- For access to services, assessments, fees or aged care funding: contact the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing on 1800 020 103.
- For advocacy and support, contact the Older Persons Advocacy Network by calling 1800 700 600.
