Acting Inspector-General of Aged Care signs inaugural agreement with Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission

A new memorandum of understanding will support greater accountability and transparency across the Australian Government’s administration of the aged care system.

The Acting Inspector-General of Aged Care, Ian Yates AM, welcomes the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU). This document formalises information-sharing between the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and the Office of the Inspector-General of Aged Care. The Acting Inspector-General and the Commissioner, Janet Anderson PSM, signed the MOU in Adelaide on Tuesday 23 April 2024 at the Commission’s national conference.

The Inspector-General commends the work done by both agencies in developing the MOU.
