Review of My Aged Care

My Aged Care is the single-entry point to Australian Government–subsidised aged care services and supports.

Review outline

My Aged Care provides the single-entry point or ‘front door’ to Australia’s aged care system for older people seeking access to Australian Government–subsidised aged care services and supports. An older person cannot receive aged care funding or services without an assessment to establish that care is needed. My Aged Care enables this assessment.

The scope of the review was to assess whether My Aged Care enables an older person in Australia (or their representative) to successfully navigate the system and initiate the assessment process required to access aged care services – regardless of their location, health requirements, cultural background, identity or prior knowledge of the system – up to the point of receiving that assessment.
